Der Embedded-Geräteserver MiiNePort E3 von Moxa wurde für Hersteller konzipiert, die ihre seriellen Geräte bei minimalem Integrationsaufwand mit vielseitigen Vernetzungsmöglichkeiten versehen möchten.
Kernstück des MiiNePort E3 ist MiiNe, das von Moxa entwickelte SoC (System-on-a-Chip) der zweiten Generation. Dieses SoC unterstützt 10/100-Mbps-Ethernet-Verbindungen sowie serielle Baudraten von bis zu 921,6 Kbps, zeichnet sich durch eine große Auswahl an voreingestellten Betriebsarten aus und hat nur eine sehr geringe Leistungsaufnahme. Mit der innovativen NetEZ-Technologie von Moxa macht der MiiNePort E3 im Handumdrehen jedes beliebige Gerät, das über eine serielle Standardschnittstelle verfügt, zu einem Ethernet-fähigen Gerät. Da der MiiNePort E3 zudem ein überaus kompakter Embedded-Geräteserver mit RJ45-Anschluss ist, lässt er sich problemlos in praktisch jedes marktübliche serielle Gerät integrieren.
